At ABM International School, we launched the Green Ablution Project in 2020 with the aim of integrating environmental sustainability into spiritual practices through the reuse of water used for ablution (Wudu). With more than 500 students performing ablution daily, the project focuses on harvesting and filtering greywater from ablution areas and reusing it to irrigate school gardens and green spaces.
The initiative transforms a daily ritual into a living environmental education model, raising awareness among students about water conservation, sustainable resource management, and the spiritual responsibility to care for the planet.
