ABMIPS triumphs at Muscat Chess Championship

MUSCAT: Students of Ahmad bin Majid International Private School (ABMIPS) victoriously secured first place among 72 schools at the highly anticipated Chess Championship for Government and Private Schools of the Muscat Governorate at the Bausher Stadium recently. The Muscat Chess Championship is an annual event that brings together the finest young chess players from across Muscat. The chief guest, Mubarak bin Said al Mashari, Director of the Career Guidance Department and Students Statistics, Directorate of Education, Muscat Governorate, conferred the awards. The first-place honours were claimed by grades 5 and 6 students, notably, Aws bin Faisal al Mahdali, Houd bin Hilal al Rashdi, Jibreel bin Raif al Harthi, Jasim bin Fahad al Kindi and Yousuf bin Salah al Balushi, whose exceptional talent led to the victory.
